Baking with Booze: Banana Bread with Rum Glaze

You read that right!  I like eating baked goods (not to mention eating them), I like drinking, and I bet you do too - so let's get down to business combining the two!

Of course, in this particular case the booze is only in the glaze, not in the banana bread itself, but there are plenty of great baked good recipes with the hooch baked right in.  For instance, this chocolate cake made with stout, and this chocolate cake made with whiskey (I like chocolate cake, can you tell?).  But this one it's just the glaze, which means I suppose you could make a perfectly serviceable banana bread and just leave off the glaze if you're making it for underage or non-drinking people.  But it's better this way, just like it's better to be of age and drinking. Here's the recipe - go forth and get drunk on banana bread!

That would be Mt. "Extremely" Gay rum I used, in the background there.  And paper towels and toothpicks, I don't have a big kitchen I can take fancy backdrop-having pictures in, ok?  Relax.
