Potatoes with Herbed Butter: versatility

So, it's summer. You're going to have some barbecues. It's going to be hot, and you're going to be busy. Fantastic - these Potatoes with Herbed Butter fit that bill perfectly. They're a good accompaniment to pretty much anything, they're quick (well, relatively quick, but most of the actual time they take is just the potatoes boiling) and ridiculously easy, and even better, you only have to heat up the stove. Great. But what happens when the weather changes? Do you give these up? Hardly. They're good next to anything you might make, and you can even change up the flavour profile by switching out the herbs for different herbs and spices without really having to make any change to anything else.

Also, think about it - you're making herbed butter here, and that might go well on something other than a potato. You could ditch the spuds altogether and put the butter on anything else! I think second only to, you know, tasting good, versatility is the most important thing to me in a recipe.

Incidentally, does that photo look weird to you? Kind of stretched and distorted? It does to me. To see the normal version (and the recipe), click here!
