Eat Your Art Out at Tavern Road
Culinary and Visual Arts Intersect for Studio Sundays at the Fort Point Hot Spot
WHAT: Many chefs are inspired by art, playing
with color, arrangement and texture when plating their dishes – not
unlike a painter approaches a canvas. At Tavern Road, Louis DiBiccari
wears many hats as a chef, a supporter of local artists
and an innovator working to further the intersection of culinary and
fine arts. This dedication to support not only the emerging Fort Point
business community but also the neighborhood’s long-standing artist
community is the catalyst for Louis’ newest venture:
Studio Sundays.

About Tavern Road
From Brothers Louis & Michael DiBiccari, Tavern Road is the
neighborhood spot of Fort Point & the Innovation District – an
easy-going, inviting place to regularly visit for elevated, yet
approachable food & drink. Brothers DiBiccari
derived inspiration for the restaurant from their Uncle Adio DiBiccari,
an American master sculptor, and his art studio, which was located on
Tavern Road by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In a nod to both old
and new, the restaurant features family heirlooms
from Adio alongside modern interpretations of his work by local artists
from Fort Point Channel. Like the local artists’ works adorning the
walls of Tavern Road, Louis has approached the menu as his canvas –
handcrafting each item with creativity and purpose;
sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients from the New England
farmers he’s cultivated strong relationships with throughout his many
years as a Boston chef.
