Simple Kitchen with Krishna: French Toast and Sour Cream Scrambled Eggs with Pecorino Romano

One of the things that excite me when I cook is “plating”. Making my dishes look beautiful is one of my favorite things to do and focus on.

French toast is one of my “go-to” breakfast dishes for it is fast and easy. It does not require a lot of ingredients. You can have it by itself or with eggs.

Ingredients:

FRENCH TOAST

Unsalted butter
2 slices of Wheat Bread
1 Egg, beaten
¼ cup milk
1 tsp. Cinnamon powder
Maple Syrup
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Mix the egg, milk, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl with a whisk. Dip the slices of bread just until covered then place on a dry plate. Using a non-stick pan, melt butter and cook bread on medium heat (2-3 mins. each side). Set aside and cover to keep warm.

SOUR CREAM SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH PECORINO ROMANO

Unsalted butter
3 Eggs, beaten
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup heavy cream
Salt & pepper to taste
Grated Pecorino Romano

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in the same bowl except the cheese. Melt butter and cook on high heat using the same non-stick pan. Keep stirring until it is a little firm. Add the cheese and keep stirring. Plate with French Toast.

(Serves 2)
